GHOST OF THE BADLANDS Retail Monochrome Edition Update
The Monochrome editions have been fixed, reviewed, approved, and are now being printed.
On May 1st, Arkhaven Comics explained why the delivery of two monochrome editions of Razorfist’s GHOST OF THE BADLANDS comic had been delayed, due to an unexpected and unwanted moire effect that appeared as a result of the artwork being very slightly reduced in terms of Dots Per Inch in order to be compliant with the distributor’s printing technology.
Below is an example of the original problem compared with three pages from the the fixed editions. They are not taken from the PDF files, but are photographs of the specific books that were sent out to the author for review and approval.
Fortunately, what the editors determined to be the optimal solution worked well in this instance. Both the hardcover and the paperback editions are currently being printed and are on schedule to be sent out to the warehouse later this week. Next week, the tracking numbers for the shipments from the warehouse will be sent out to everyone who has ordered a copy or two, and the books should start arriving soon after that.
Again, we apologize for the delay. Be confident that we have learned our lesson from this experience, and we will not make the color editions of GHOST OF THE BADLANDS available for purchase on the Arkhaven store until we have confirmed the successful printing of the color interiors.
OK, I'm a retard at times. I ordered 1 copy of the monochrome not realizing that meant black and white. I have no problem with that. But, now that I see mention that a color version will be available I'd like one of those too. How do I sign up for one? I'll even prepay if necessary. And, if I like em I'll buy a few more issues of each for friends. Thank you.
