Expectations were so high around Turkey Day. Stock back up at $117. Money should be coming through the chute. Now, it's back down under $98. That roller coaster is going to be a really urpee ride if the Parks continue to fail.

But, of course, Disney delenda est.

*Rolls eyes so hard he sees the back of his skull.* Disney couldn't make money if you threw it at them. The Didn't Earn It crowd has all but destroyed Disney. Nobody will watch Star Wars, Nobody will watch Marvel Movies, and people don't want to watch yet another remake of a Princess movie.

Maybe, just maybe if Disney hired based on Merit and not on skin color, they could make money again. But as it stands, I won't go anywhere near Disney.

Nothing that Disney makes is an American Myth. All the Disney Princesses are European. All their folktales are European. The only native they've done is Pocahontas. Marvel makes American Folklore, as does Lucasfilm. But Disney had to buy those.

It's almost funny that Murican corporate behemoths openly engage in the sort accounting games that I used to joke about Italian football clubs playing, with one set of books for the tax man, another for the press, yet another for the players and agents, and finally the real one that only a select few ever get to see.

I'm completely out of the loop regarding Children shows, I only have this notion that the top shows were/are cocomelon and Bluey; so children go to youtube for "the good stuff"? there's no other channel network with anything worthwhile or that attracts the younger audiences?

YouTube wins because it has everything a kid might want to watch. You can watch Bluey and Cocomelon there (even though you can also watch them on paid streaming sites), you can watch various low-budget shows produced by dedicated creators of varying quality and value (e.g. Blippi), and you can watch absolute kid-hypnotizing brainrot, like videos of kids unboxing toys and running around and playing with them with goofy sound effects or videos of monster trucks driving off a cliff and exploding in what I guess is GMod.

The youtube indie, as far as that term goes nowadays, makers have upped their game tremendously in the last 5 years. Did you know that Skibidi Toilet has like 70 episodes and 25 seasons with a continuous story?

Here's an example of a playlist that completely encapsulates why kids are watching youtube, while also being interesting for adults.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCYvmdgbDTY&list=PL3r1GUQio-5kbu1GPJ112U9lZWh1ytQ5e

It's a continuous series of just over a dozen horror youtube shorts about "Where's Waldo" where you're looking for him because he's a serial killer.

•Cartoon graphics

•Mystery

•Short and snappy, no filler

•Horror

•Allows comments so fans can share their hype with each other

•Full of cliches but done fun and lightheartedly

•Actual 'Where's Waldo' maps

Where else is a kid gonna find something like this? In the old days it was "Goosebumps" books "Tales from the Crypt" tv but there is nothing even like those two now on tv.

Of course, they have to produce a sequel to SHOGUN. What better vehicle could there be to tell the story of Yasuke, the black samurai?

Whoa.... I didn't think of that and now my noggin is joggin.

I'll say this with my tinfoil hat on: surely they're always ready for a woke-ified continuation in the case of success, therefore Yasuke was always part of the equation. Why? It fits the woke mold but also, there's no way they weren't aware of what Ubisoft was doing. I bet anything those hi executives in every branch of media have their own network of communication with each other (they're all part of globo homo after all). James Clavell didn't make a sequel? As if that ever mattered; SHOGUN is a success, thus the Clown World timeline is followed. All according to keikaku.

So why is Disney "going to be very careful with the next season of SHOGUN"? Because Ubisoft fucked up big time. The Japanese are absolutely furious with the whole Yasuke fiasco (which could prove lethal since Ubisoft is in a very precarious situation atm), and although the whole drama is contained to the videogame sphere for the time being, if the SHOGUN producers are stupid enough to even UTTER "Yasuke", 100% guaranteed this dumpster fire will evolve into a firestorm.

No, the producers aren't kicking themselves for killing off Yabu, they're kicking Yves Guillemot for ruining it for them.

Can somebody explain to me how Universal got the approval of Nintendo to make use of their products?

You would think the Japanese, especially Nintendo would be extremely hesistant to allow their IP to be used by those filthy yanks.

I have a whole family of kids who are YouTube watchers. Let me describe their evening videos:

* Object shows like BFDI, and if you don't know what an object show is, wait a few years, they'll be everywhere.

* Mark Rober: science guy who builds prank bombs for thieves and squirrel obstacle courses

* NileRed: Chemistry guy who does things like turn rubber gloves into grape soda

* Commentaries on Disney movies, shows, etc.

* Any kind of Minecraft show like Aphmau

* Indie animations like Lackadaisy and Amazing Digital Circus and Murder Drones

* Shows where they refurbish small machines like old fashioned candy rollers

* Lots of music like Animusic and other small composers

Once upon a time a young little teller read many a webcomic of questionable quality, the mention of Lackadaisy brought back those memories. A bizzare thing to hear that it has animations now, watched by children, back in the day it was in that category of webcomic that had fairly competent art, but struggled to ever put out updates. Utterly uncanny. Don't really remember much about it other than either mobster or prohibition era cats, can't even trust those fuzzy memories.

There's certainly downsides and risks to youtube content, but putting aside some of the horrific things algorithm has pushed, there's certainly more on offer.

Amazing Digital Circus is NOT for kids; it's not violent or sexual, but it is pretty dark and surreal to the point of being mind-screw.

How sweet is the sound of the tolling bell, not yet does it ring for the dying elephant, but can that glorious sound from the future not be heard?

Honestly it'll be interesting what form the bloodbath takes, how the cookie crumbles. Definitely more entertaining than whatever they put out as they continue their slow agonizing death.

The Universal park would need to royally mess up to not manage to eat Disney's breakfast, lunch and dinner.
