This intellectual property has passed its 30-year mark and it doesn’t look like it’s going to be swept under the pop cultural rug any time soon. Thanks for reading Arkhaven Comics!
By the end of Atlantis, production quality was approaching movies. SG1 ran a little long, but was also great. Wish they had cut out the fluff episodes, but that seems to be a problem with every TV series. I just watched witcher season 3, which was overall a little less than mediocre, but i loved the games so i put up with it. (Wont be watching season 4 though) Episode 7 was 40 minutes of watching a ciri walk through a desert alone for no reason at all. The ultimate fluff episode in an 8 episode season no less! Just felt like one of many middle fingers from the writers to the audience.
I remember back in the day binging on the hour long speculative fiction every Saturday night. Deep Space Nine, Stargate SG1 felt like they were always there, with what followed always seemed to vary (Outer Limits was a mainstay, as well as Gene Roddenberry's "Earth Final Conflict" and "Andromeda" during their years). It was a fun time.
SG1 and Atlantis are in my top favorite sci fi shows. Nice retro review.
I do recall Sam being overly grrl power in the beginning of SG1.
Everyone in my little circle bailed on SGU. We couldn't believe they canceled Atlantis for it. I didn't realize Scalzi was involved that explains how it went to crap instantly.
Stargate Universe was a TWO season distater, thank you.
I've heard some praise of it that I kind of want to check it out.
I also admit I am a bit of a fan of Robert Carlyle.
I actually liked th e1st season, but have never watched the second. There are some interesting characters, but I never really got into the premise.

You had me rolling with the Quiet Game story! Thanks for the stress relief. Cheers!
Don't forget that PlutoTV has an entire stargate channel as well as much of it on demand.

Agreed. I really tried to like SGU, but the Shake-y cam, bad pacing and annoying characters were too much
