~~These are big and important questions that need to be asked by more developed minds. Sure Saul committed terrible sins but weren’t David’s just as bad? Why did both Saul and Jonathon have to die?~~
It should be pointed out David's son did die as a result of his sins too. 3 of them in fact. Did you watch Boy Kills World? I just finished it Monday and while there's a lot you could read into it, I think deep down it's really about how the sins of parents trickle down and affect the lives of their children. (I'm writing up more on it, I liked it.)
But as you point out in the sentence following, David about all was penitent and sought forgiveness. He sought to make things right. That is what is so easy to overlook when comparing sins. That was Jesus' whole parable of the pharisee and tax collector. It's not always about who had the worse sin, but what's more important is who is penitent and seeking to put their sins right.
The animation is a few steps above evangelical-cheese production values, but not enough for me to go see it. Music and voice acting seem fine. Maybe they could've spent more money on coming up with a better name?
Really, if as good you say, this just makes the whole animal farm thing even stranger, what with how Angel has been presenting themselves.

Excellent ! This is going on my watch list.
It showed and didnt tell. The psalm adaptions worked well.
Animation better than many. The tricks they used on big scenes are common, even in videogames.
Kids and most adults under 50 wont mind.
Kids (7 and 5) loved it.
