Never liked Alan Moore, also he’s not one who should be talking about “Smelly Batman” when he looks like a Hobo himself. Don’t throw stones in a glass house Mr. Moore.
It still baffles me that any one could write Rorschach and be shocked that everyone considered the guy who sacrifices himself for truth and justice not only a hero but the only one in the story.
Does he even know the dictionary definition of hero?
If he didn't wanted that, he should had him compromise his principles like the others.
He clearly didn't understand the Superhero Trope then, and likely still doesn't now.
Moore attempted to walk that back with his series featuring the Nedor Heroes from the early 2000s, but it just isn't in him to really do it justice. He doesn't understand heroism, much less the Grimm's Fairy Tales/Copybook Headings nature of the Superhero.
Rorschach as a parody of Batman is a blatant bad lie on its face. How has nobody ever pinned Moore down in an interview and asked the obvious question; if that was at all true then who is Nite Owl supposed to be based on?
Moore is one of the chestless men. He has no ounce of heroism in his soul and thus cannot write about it. The deconstruction of the hero is the mark of this comic age. The age of decay.

An interesting and convincing take.

Most articles about Kitty Genovese also never mention that her killer Winston Moseley was black.

Moore only accepts interviews if his ass is going to be kissed.
Excellent post!
Blue Beetle #5 from Charlton Comics is quintessential Blue Beetle & Question from Ditko, and is in the public domain.

It should also be noted that the Stanford Prison Experiment is fake. It was rigged to get the results they wanted.
